Usage Instructions
Now you don't have to worry about missing that important call — even when you're on the telephone or away from home. With Hometown Call Forward, you can have your calls automatically routed to another number where you can be reached or where someone can answer for you. You can even route your calls to a long distance number, if you wish.
Using Call Forwarding is easy. All you have to do is turn it on when you want to forward your calls and turn it off when you don't. It's that simple!
To Turn on Call Forwarding or Change the Forwarding Number:
- Lift your receiver and wait for the dial tone.
- Dial 72, press #, and wait for another dial tone.
- Dial the telephone number to where you want your calls forwarded. If this is a long distance number, dial 1 plus the area code and number. You should hear two or three short beeps, meaning your phone calls are being forwarded to the number you just entered.
- The telephone where you're forwarding your calls starts ringing. When someone answers, tell them that you're forwarding your calls to their number. Call Forwarding is now activated.
NOTE: If no one answers the telephone to where you are forwarding you calls, or if the line is busy, hang up and repeat steps 1 through 4 and Call Fowarding will activate.
To Turn off Call Forwarding:
- Lift your receiver and wait for the dial tone.
- Dial 73 and press #
- Listen for two or three short beeps; meaning Call Forwarding has been turned off.
